Chelsea’s new starter admits the one thing the team are afraid of this summer

Chelsea have a lot of things to worry about this summer.
Where do we start? We have a transfer ban in place, Callum Hudson-Odoi wants to go to Bayern, several first team players are out of contract, the manager’s future is uncertain. The owner’s future is uncertain. The fanbase is critically divided.
But there’s one thing that dwarfs all this, and Emerson Palmieri has admitted in an interview with Sky Sports that the players at the club are “afraid” of Eden Hazard leaving.
We know how you feel! If Chelsea’s though last summer was a sweat, just wait till we get to this one. Real Madrid are closing in, and this is surely the summer he goes.

If you’re a player like Emerson, the transfer ban is probably a good thing. He’s winning the battle with  Marcos Alonso for first team minutes, and now nobody else can be brought in to replace him.
But no player wants to play on a team which is about to lose their best player, and if you’re a Chelsea player right now, that’s a very real possibility.
There’s still a long way to go, but Emerson isn’t the only one who’s a little afraid of the future right now.
