Chelsea teammate’s comments suggest Real Madrid and Bayern targets are going nowhere

Could Andreas Christensen’s recent comments on Chelsea’s transfer ban suggest that Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi are going nowhere this summer? We certainly hope so…

With Chelsea unable to make transfers this coming summer, Christensen has revealed to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet that the club have informed the squad that nobody will be allowed to leave.

Now, that will obviously exclude the likes of Olivier Giroud and David Luiz, whose future is very much in their own hands, with their contracts set to expire at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

However, could it prohibit both Hazard and Hudson-Odoi, who have both been linked with the exit door, from leaving Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window?

As mentioned in this report by The Sun, Real Madrid are after Hazard, while Bayern Munich want Hudson-Odoi. Both players’ contracts are due to expire in 2020.

Though we run the risk of losing both without receiving a penny in exchange, Christensen’s comments suggest that Chelsea could make a final decision on both players’ futures for them.

Let’s wait and see what happens over the coming months…
