Chelsea to offer £100k to wonderkid in final attempt to secure his future

The Evening Standard are today reporting that Chelsea are “considering” offering Callum Hudson-Odoi £100,000 PER WEEK to get him to stay at the club.

That’s an astonishing figure for an 18 year old without a Premier League start to his name, but it’s just the kind of thing that happens these days in football.

In fact, what’s even more amazing is that the winger may turn it down. He knows he can get similar sums wherever he chooses to go, and he certainly has no shortage of suitors.

If this offer fails, we still think we will force him to stay anyway. If Eden Hazard is going to go, we really can’t afford to lose another of our top attackers.

He will then be able to leave for free in the summer of 2020… but that might just be the price we pay for our illegal transfer activity.

Our last offer to Callum, according to the Standard, was £85,000. Will that extra 15k, and the fact he’s since become an England international – be enough to persuade him?

We will find out soon enough.
