“We are afraid that he might leave” – Eden Hazard’s Chelsea teammate reveals mood in dressing room

Eden Hazard is almost certain to join Real Madrid if reports are to be believed, after Zinedine Zidane rejoined Los Blancos this week.

The Frenchman is a longstanding idol of Hazard and the playmaker has often publicly spoken of his desire to play under the decorated manager and the time seems right, now. The Belgium captain was already linked with Real last summer, even without Zidane in charge of the club, but with the former Juventus star back in the dugout at the Santiago Bernabeu, things could get messy again for Chelsea.

Next summer will be crucial for the Blues as they battle FIFA’s decision to ban them from doing business in the transfer window. They also must focus on getting their superstars to committing their future to the club and most important among them is Hazard.

It is widespread in the Chelsea dressing room, according to left full back, Emerson Palmieri. The Italy defender says he and his teammates are ‘afraid’ of losing the Belgium star.

“He shows every day how important he is. Obviously, we have many players of quality in our team, but he is on another level and is one of the best in the world.

I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay.”
