Tiemoue Bakayoko is flourishing in Milan after a torrid year at Chelsea, and his recent quotes show that he has no interest in coming back to Stamford Bridge, which doesn’t seem to inspire the same excitement that the San Siro does.
His quotes, outlined in Simon Johnson’s quote embedded here, make his feelings very clear:
#Bakayoko showing no desire to return to #cfc: "Milan are on a different planet. I was greeted by Maldini & Leonardo on my first day & you immediately realise who you’re dealing with. Then you have the atmosphere at San Siro, which is extraordinary. Milan are a legendary club."

He’s not deliberately throwing shade at Chelsea to be fair – we did a lot to help him and it just didn’t work, and he can’t really blame us for some of his most shocking performances – but we don’t come off well be comparison.
Most Chelsea fans will say good riddance, and that they didn’t want to give the France international another chance after his series of dreadful showings for us a year ago.
Others will warn that this is another talent we have let walk away without seeing their best days.
Time will tell whether we’re the winners or losers here.
