(Images): The toxic reaction to another Chelsea defeat on Instagram

Usually, following a Chelsea game, Instagram lights up with posts from the PR teams of all the players involved. “Good win, +3”, “tough result, but we keep working”, “Disappointed with the game but we must focus on Sunday now” are the usual things you see.

That’s all but dried up on the Chelsea front, and it’s not hard to understand why. The players have used up all their platitudes in shellackings from Bournemouth and Man City, and now have no tears left to cry for a feeble FA Cup exit against United.

Those brave enough to post were met with a predictable torrent abuse in the comments.

Better to stay silent, we reckon. There’s a good chance to make up for it this weekend, but we wouldn’t bet on it. If last week is anything to go by, we could be about to ship ten goals.
