Chelsea are a goal down against Manchester United, and as always, there are fans on Twitter trying to blame Marcos Alonso.
In reality it’s just a quality pass from Paul Pogba. Maybe Alonso could have done better, but it’s a lot less glaring than some of his recent efforts.
Some will take any other opportunity, wheras others were more fair with their take on things.
What do you make of the defensive lapse?

For the second time in three days, the runner that Kovacic didn’t track scores against Chelsea. Alonso overloaded at the back post #cfc

Marcos Alonso caught napping. United up 1-0.
I have no words.

Rudiger out of position. Makes Alonso look bad. Scapegoated for that goal.

“We play Alonso for height.” – Sarri
The man has literally watched Ander Herrera head the ball into the back of the net, been touch tight and not even attempted to use that advantage on him. Awareness is everywhere with him at the moment. #CHEMNU #FACup— Louis Beneventi 🤌🏻 (@Louis_Beneventi) February 18, 2019
Alonso had two men. Can’t do anything. No win situation.

Guy came all the way from midfield. Sure Alonso and Luiz should’ve caught him but Kovacic drifted away. Mental.

Pogba inswinging cross is met by Herrera who made a late run at the far post. No one tracked him from MF. #CFC #MUFC #CHEMUN

Anyone surprised he was Alonso's man?

Marcos Alonso at fault, a shame as he wasn't that bad prior to that goal.
