Chelsea are moving towards a win in Malmo, but despite that it was the actions of Maurizio Sarri from the bench that infuriated some fans.
His decisions to sub on N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard was met by total confusion with some fans.
The Italian did finally bring on the man everyone wanted to see – Callum Hudson-Odoi. But only in the 84th minute, denying the kid a lot of extra time to impress on the field.
It’s the Europa League. We’re playing rubbish teams. Please at least just play our academy players and let us enjoy that, Sarri. This really is so frustrating. Why can’t we use this competition to actually improve some of the many young stars currently rotting away at the club.

2-0 up, 20 minutes to go, against a tiring Malmö. Brings on Hazard and Kante, Hudson-Odoi stays on the bench. Ok…

Eden Hazard comes on even though we are 2 goals up!?
What has Callum Hudson-Odoi done to Sarri to not play him?
Unbelievable! 🤦🏼♂️ #MALCHE— Shaggy Cannin (@ShaggyCannin) February 14, 2019
no reason why Hudson-Odoi shouldn't have been on instead. baffling from Sarri.

Kante coming on for Jorginho.
Clear to me now that Sarri is on a wind up tonight.— Mark Worrall (@gate17marco) February 14, 2019
Why. The. Fuck. Is. Kante. Coming. On.
— Dávid Pásztor (@D_Peezy) February 14, 2019
why would you bring on Kanté??
— amadí (@amadoit__) February 14, 2019
May as well sub Caballero on for Kepa at this point, obviously no need for Hudson-Odoi to get minutes is there.

Interesting subs. Wonder if Cho is being punished for his transfer request. We’ll have to wait to see what happens on Monday though, Pedro definitely won’t be starting that.
