Ashley Cole included Florent Malouda in his dream XI but leaves out Dennis Bergkamp

Ashley Cole has revealed his dream XI, and there’s unsurprisingly a heavy Chelsea presence in the team.

Even though he’s since played for Roma, LA Galaxy and now Derby, Cole’s team is understandably built of players from his time at Chelsea and Arsenal.

At the back, he has himself (you can decide whether it’s his Arsenal or his Chelsea avatar), alongside, John Terry, Petr Cech and Sol Campbell.

In the middle of the pitch he’s got a classic 4 man midfield, with Florent Malouda and Robert Pires out wide, while Frank Lampard and Patrick Vieira patrol the middle of the park… just imagine!

Up front Cole had some pretty big calls to make, but in the end he went for a partnership of Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry.

Now that’s some XI. Dennis Bergkamp couldn’t even get a look in! That’s when you know you’ve played with some truly class players.
