Chelsea’s mentality has been called into question many times this season, and yesterday was a perfect example.
At times it’s been games where we’ve gone behind, and looked lacking in belief that we can turn things round.
Against Newcastle yesterday it was the opposite – we took the lead and looked like we thought the game was over. That allowed the Magpies to equalise, and we had to rely on a Willian wonderstrike to save us.
Maurizio Sarri wasn’t happy about it in his post match press conference, and he vented accordingly.
