Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has confirmed his side will need the experience of Gonzalo Higuain as the clock ticks for the striker’s move to be completed by the Blues.
The Premier League giants have been on the search for a new striker in this transfer window with Alvaro Morata reportedly keen to end his nightmare in the London and Olivier Giroud also struggling to nail a regular spot in Sarri’s first team. However, Gianluca Di Marzio says Chelsea could announce Higuain soon with a medical scheduled for today while also revealing the player has arrived in London on Wednesday.
With Chelsea’s history of striking problems, there are concerns about Higuain’s adaptation to the Premier League but Sarri has allayed those fears.
The former Napoli tactician told gathered press in the pre-match press conference that Higuain has gathered enough experience from his playing days at Real Madrid and Juventus to excel in the English top flight.
