Atletico Madrid are very close to the signing of Alvaro Morata, but there is one thing they still have yet to agree on with Chelsea.
According to Spanish radio show El Larguero, the Spanish club and Chelsea are both agreed that they will take the striker on loan, with an option to buy.
However, presenter Manu Carreno, a true Spanish football media legend, says that while Atleti want the option to be… optional, Chelsea want it to be an obligatory clause.

This is a pretty vital part of the deal, so it’s no surprise it’s causing some issues.
It’s also holding up the whole striker carousel, with Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival at Chelsea dependent on Morata’s deal being sorted, and that in turn affecting the move of Krzysztof Piatek to AC Milan.
Let’s get this sorted quickly guys, and free both us and Alvaro from this nightmare as soon as possible!
