Maurizio Sarri started this season off saying he wouldn’t speak about the market, but with every week he turns up the heat on his superiors to get him the players he wants.
After the tight win against Newcastle, the Chelsea boss was asked whether he needed backup for Jorginho now Cesc Fabregas has left for Monaco, and he agreed immediately.
His exact words are reported by Goal.com’s Chelsea man, Nizaar Kinsella.
Sarri on Fabregas replacement: "As you see today, Jorginho was in trouble and on the bench there wasn't a player for that position. So I need a player for that position, I need an option for Jorginho. I have no idea [when someone will arrive]." #CFC #CHENEW

It’s clear that Sarri knows he needs a player in that positon, and it’s likely he’s been told he’ll get one. But he’s as much in the dark as us about when that might happen.
The team was lacking once again in that department today. Without Ruben Loftus-Cheek we lack someone to break lines from the middle three and make runs beyond Eden Hazard up top.
Sarri knows it, we all know it. Let’s just hope Roman knows it too.
