Morata thinks Chelsea “lack respect” after the “attack” he suffered from club legend

Alvaro Morata scored twice against Nottingham Forest yesterday, and yet couldn’t raise a smile.

The forward bagged twice, but even after the second, he didn’t look too pleased.

He was subbed off towards the end of the game, and went straight down the tunnel, again without showing any emotion.

It was a pretty bizarre sight, although we’ve become quite accustomed to seeing the forward look just as unhappy when he scores as when he doesn’t.

Spanish paper Marca claim to have some insight on the matter, and they say that Morata is unhappy because of the comments Chelsea assistant Gianfranco Zola made in the week.

Their exact words are that the “wanted to vindicate himself after the attack he suffered from Gianfranco Zola, who questioned the players behaviour and performances.”

Zola was being grilled about Morata and he gave some pretty frank answers, which the striker has taken exception to.

This situation is clearly at breaking point now, and Marca say that there is an exit to Sevilla on the cards.

Let’s hope that’s more than just a rumour – this whole debacle is really turning out badly for everyone.
