Morata sale may be ruined because Chelsea are “very difficult to negotiate with”

Chelsea want rid of Alvaro Morata, and the striker wants to go.

Sevilla, according to quotes from their own director of football, want the striker.

With all three parties on board, one would imagine it would be fairly easy to sort a deal out, but it hasn’t proved to be that way.

Instead, Joaquin Caparros, the DoF of the Andalusian club, has been speaking about us and called us “very difficult to negotiate with”, in quotes carried by the Sun.

“The player may want to come here over other options, but it is very complicated.

“Chelsea are a club who are very difficult to negotiate [with],” Caparros said.

There’s some positive news in there anyway. Firstly that he’s admitting that his club are indeed interested, and secondly that he’s confirming that the player wants to go to Seville.

Hopefully, with two of those three factors combined, and our need to shift Morata as soon as possible, we will be able to overcome the any issues in negotiation.

At this stage, we have no bargaining power left when it comes to the striker, and anyone who can take him off our hands and reduce the PR nightmare he’s causing should be welcome to take him.
