Michy Batshuayi will not make Premier League move after all

Michy Batshuayi’s loan with Valencia will soon be over, but don’t expect to see him back at Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

The cancellation of his temporary spell on the Spanish coast still isn’t sorted (although it’s been pretty much confirmed by all involved), and already we have a new destination for him apparently all but secured.

There had been appealing talk of Premier League moves – Crystal Palace need a striker for example – but it seems like his new destination will be back in the south of France, near where he made his name with Marseille.

The latest chatter from Belgian journo Kristof Terreur, as you can see above, is that Michy will join Monaco for the rest of this season.

There he will join former teammate, the recently arrived Cesc Fabregas, along with his former national team striker coach Thierry Henry, who is the beleaguered new manager there.

Let’s hope for their sake that the addition of Cesc and Michy makes the difference!
