Why Maurizio Sarri will not land either of the two world class strikers on his January wish list

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri is keen to add to his attack line and has told his bosses at the club to make enquiries of Gonzalo Higuain and Edison Cavani according to OK Diario.

The Spanish news outlet is far from credible and their report on Chelsea’s transfer market will fail to convince skeptics. Certainly, the Blues need a striker to beef up their options up front with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud who have both faltered in their goal scoring quests this season.

However, Higuain’s struggles at AC Milan, the club he is on loan at from Juventus. The Argentina international has scored eight goals in all competitions for the Rossoneri. At 31 years, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is not keen to recruit the striker he may have to spend £45m to sign permanently next summer as per the Express.

Cavani is the same age as Higuain and will be not a priority either for the recruitment officers at Stamford Bridge.
