Chelsea could have their new striker available for the game against Tottenham on Thursday night.
That’s according to The Metro, who say the Juventus forward could arrive within the next 48 hours, leaving him plenty of time to get registered for the game, although not much time to do any training.
The team are in a bad way after an awful defeat to Arsenal, so a boost like this could be really important. We’re only one down on Tottenham from the first leg, so a good showing could easily see us right back in the tie early on.
Normally managers like to give their players a bit of time to adjust, but give he’s played for Maurizio Sarri before, and given the team is struggling so much up front, we expect the Argentina international to play as soon as he can.
If he can score on his debut against Spurs, he’d be well on his way to being a cult hero already.
