Chelsea’s hopes to sign La Liga hit-man rests on Alvaro Morata’s next choice of destination

Chelsea are looking to sign a striker this month to replace Alvaro Morata and as per this fresh report by the Express, their chances of signing their latest target rests on their current number one choice, Alvaro Morata.

The Spain international is one of the most criticized strikers in English football at the moment after struggling in his role since his signing in the summer of 2016. He has only 16 goals to his name in the Premier League in total, scoring only five this term.

Maurizio Sarri has identified the position as one of the weakest in his squad and has plans to beef it up. Sevilla’s Andre Silva has been pencilled in as a potential arrival but his signing will depend on Morata’s next choice of destination.

According to the Sun via the Express, Chelsea need Morata to approve of a loan move to Sevilla, that will tempt Los Hispalenses chiefs to release eight-goal Silva, who is himself on loan from AC Milan.
