Chelsea could be set for major right back shuffle

The Daily Mirror last night reported that Chelsea are interested in Napoli rightback Elseid Hysaj.

That’s nothing new, we’re heard that for at least a year now, even from before when the defender’s former boss was still managing the Neapolitans.

Now Maurizio Sarri is at Chelsea, and according to this article he intends to entirely shake up the club’s options in that position.

The Mirror says that Davide Zappacosta will be offloaded, Victor Moses loaned out and Hysaj brought in to compete with Cesar Azpilicueta for that spot in the team.

Azpi is a great player and a fan favourite, but no Blues fan would say it would hurt to have some proper competition there. Zappacosta and Moses are both workers and honest pros but nothing special, and not enough to take us to the next level.

Reece James, our academy product currently tearing it up on loan at Wigan, is a far brighter prospect than any of these guys.
