Chelsea must use clause to bring in £40m David Luiz replacement

Chelsea are being linked with Nathan Ake, the defender they sold two summers ago.

The Sun are among the papers speculating that we could use our agreement with Bournemouth to buy the defender back for a reported £40m.

He came through at Chelsea as a youngster, and had loans to various English clubs, including his final one, with the Cherries, which was cut short for him to play a role in the title run in under Antonio Conte.

There was surprise when we let the Dutch international go, but it’s always been known that we have a clause to buy him back for a fixed fee, which makes the whole deal make more sense.

He always impressed when given chances for us, and is still only 23. We’d be delighted to see him back at the club, and the fact we can get him for a reasonable fee just makes it a no brainer. He could be the man to replace David Luiz, and we must do this deal if we can.
