Chelsea begin talks with Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, confirms German club

Chelsea seem to have finally begun having discussions with Bayern Munich over the sale of Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the German club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

The Blues have been very reluctant in speaking with the Bavarians over the sale of the youngster. Bayern believe he is one of the perfect candidates to replace legends Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery, who are both expected to hang up their boots after this season.

However, the Premier League giants who had not given the 18-year old many chances in the first team are now showing promise to integrate him slowly. Maurizio Sarri has admitted in the last couple of weeks that Hudson-Odoi is beginning to show talent almost at the level of the current stars in his position.

Bayern, on the other hand, are relentless in their chase for the Chelsea academy graduate and want to sign him this month. According to Hasan Salihamidzic, his side are now in talks with the Blues.

“We want to sign the player. I am fully convinced of his abilities. We are in talks with Chelsea.”
