Chelsea already making moves to get club legend back after big annoucement

Chelsea fans were demanding that Petr Cech be made director of football after the former Blue announced his retirement at the end of the season yesterday, and the Times are reporting that we’re already making moves in that direction.

Cech left for Arsenal after losing his place in the team to Thibaut Courtois, and he was given an easy exit to the club of his choice on the back of a promise from Roman Abramovich. He’s still on great terms with a lot of people at the club where he won the Champions League, and we might be able to get our hands on his services before the Gunners do.

Even if he’s not entrusted with a position directly affecting the first team, his universal popularity in the game would make him a fantastic choice in any ambassadorial role. The fact he speaks so many languages would only help!
