Chelsea “have agreed a deal” for the loan of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus

Sky Sports are reporting that Chelsea’s loan offer for Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has been agreed, and that we’re very close to the move being announced by the club.

They refer to their Italian branch, which is always pretty stop on with deals in Serie A, who claim that the Argentine will arrive on loan until the end of the season, with an option to extend that deal for a further 12 months if we wish.

To be honest, it seems like the perfect setup for us. We get an experienced striker who is already used to playing in Maurizio Sarri’s system, but we don’t have to commit a big transfer fee or long term contract to a player already well past 30.

There are also claims that Sarri wants to get his former Napoli star ready to play this weekend against Arsenal, which would mean a pretty quick turnaround for Higuain, who is currently in Jeddah with AC Milan, where he is currently on loan.
