Bayern Munich go public with their interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich have finally stepped up their pace in snapping up Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi after sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed certain things in a news conference on Wednesday.

The Bundesliga giants have shown deep interest in the 18-year old this winter transfer window and have already had three bids turned by the Blues as per a report by the Independent. However, the German club are not holding back and will continue to make him a priority in their search for a long-term replacement for Arjen Robben, who is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

It is reported by Sky Sports that Hudson-Odoi has told his current employers of his wish to join Bayern and has refused to sign a new contract and extend his current deal which expires after 18 months.

Maybe his head has been turned by the interest from the Bundesliga and Salihamidzic takes to the tactic to hurt Chelsea more by admitting publicly that his side believes in the youngster.

“All I can say about Callum Hudson-Odoi is that I think he’s a good player and he’s a player who we have a great interest in. Anything else, we will see.”
