Arsenal transfer target outplays Brazilian linked with £55m move to Chelsea in Barcelona cup defeat

Barcelona have their own B team, it plays in the Spanish third tier. But still, when it comes to the early round of the Copa Del Rey, they tend to put out a team of their first team reserves.

That was the case last night, when Ernesto Valverde played a hodge-podge XI away at Levante, and was punished with a 2-1 loss.

It was 2-0 until the 85th minute, when Arsenal target Denis Suarez swerved his way through the opposition defence into the area and won a penalty for Coutinho to score.

Chelsea also had some skin in this game – the Brazilian Malcom, who has not impressed for Barcelona since signing last summer, was poor, and one of the reasons that the Blaugrana couldn’t create anything early on.

We’ve been linked with him in the last 24 hours as part of a trade for Willian, and while Chelsea fans may not be pleased with how their own troubled Brazilian wide man is doing, they should know that the one we’re being offered isn’t doing much better.
