Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien celebrates his 36th birthday and UEFA posted a video of him scoring a thunderbolt shot against Barcelona in the Champions League.
That game ended in tears for the Chelsea fans and players who had hoped to reach a second Champions League final in two years. Essien was majestic on the ball in his heyday at Chelsea and earned respect for his control of the midfield and hard tackling.
