Tiemoue Bakayoko’s Chelsea future depends on this one thing

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s disastrous debut season at Chelsea saw him shepherded straight off to Serie A on loan, and at first it looked like it would be the same old story.

The former Monaco midfielder was putting in some real stinkers for the Rossoneri at the start of the season, but things have turned the corner for him now.

There’s actually talk about what it would take to keep him at the San Siro now, and Paolo Maldini, who is a director at the club where he is an eternal legend, has quotes on Football Italia that make it clear what circumstances would be necessary for the Frenchman to turn his loan into a permanent deal.

Simply, Milan have to get fourth spot, and therefore Champions League football, if they’re going to have the funds – or perhaps even the desire – to get Baka in.

So Blues fans wanting rid of the monster flop will be becoming temporary Rossoneri fans for the next few months it seems…
