Predicted XI: Sarri’s limited squad exposed as he’s forced to pick out of form starters

Maurizio Sarri faces one of the toughest decisions in his short career at Chelsea today when he picks his team to face Manchester City off the back of two defeats in three.

Kepa‘s place in goal is safe despite letting the Wolves equaliser under him in midweek, and we can probably assume that the cautious Italian will return to his tried and tested back four of Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso.

In midfield Jorginho will return and N’Golo Kante is a cert – but might Ruben Loftus-Cheek have done enough with his goal on Wednesday to creep into that three?

Up front Olivier Giroud will be welcomed back after a poor showing from Alvaro Morata, while Eden Hazard is undroppable despite his slump in form.

Pedro will fill in the last space in the XI after a goal last week against Fulham.

So hardly big changes – but what options does Sarri really have with this squad?
