It’s safe to say Chelsea’s away win over Brighton and Hove Albion last Sunday was purely based on Eden Hazard’s glorious 90 minutes of action.
The Belgian winger was in full flight at the Amex Stadium, setting up a goal and grabbing another in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Brighton. The Blues needed to win in order to stay in touching distance of Manchester City title this season and the win was served ice-cold with Hazard’s refound invincibility.
The former Lille forward set Pedro up for the first goal of the game, making it four consecutive games he has directly fed a teammate to score a goal in the English top flight – his best ever run. He now matches Cesc Fabregas’ feat in September 2014, and could break that record next week.
4 – Eden Hazard can provide an assist in a fourth consecutive Premier League match for the first time. Cesc Fabregas was the last Chelsea player to achieve the feat, in September 2014. Generous.

The numbers get even more impressive when the entire season is taken into perspective. Hazard has contributed to 17 goals in 16 games this term, already bettering his tally of 16 goals plus assists in last season’s championship.
