How Eden Hazard can break all his personal records this season

Eden Hazard has 17 goal “contributions” this season. That’s his goals and assists added together.

That’s more than in any of his previous seasons at Chelsea at this point.

Despite his goals drying up after a strong start, we’ve seen the Belgian keep racking up the assists for his teammates, meaning he now has 9 of them. His previous record at thistage was 6, in the first season after arriving from Lille.

Moving to a false 9 position against Brighton saw him score for the first time since October as well as picking up another assist, and may be this position shift that allows him to record his best statistical season ever.

We head into a hectic period now, where it’s easy to player to get lost in the waves of games. Eden needs to keep sharp and keep making the difference in games. Then, with any luck, he’ll head into 2019 in a great position to break all his personal single season records.
