Chelsea could have unexpected chance at having a third striker in January if three-goal loan star leaves La Liga giants

Chelsea could end up with three strikers in January if both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud remain at the club beyond the winter transfer window, and Valencia confirm the rumors in Spain by returning Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi has been underwhelming at the La Liga club this season since completing his loan deal to Los Che. He has failed to live up to expectations with only three goals in 19 appearances in all competitions. The Belgium striker is struggling to find his best form and perhaps it’s the different philosophies he keeps learning at the clubs he been at in the last couple of years.

The 24-year old is now being considered by Valencia’s top hierarchy, who are not too sure about keeping him permanently and according to a report by Marca, they could end up returning the player in January. Sport Witness also say the player is not sure about staying at the club and wants a return to the Blues.

Having proven himself in Germany with Borussia Dortmund and also in France, Batshuayi would not be short of suitors should he become available on the market. But Chelsea may consider keeping him and giving him a fair chance at first-team football with Morata and Giroud failing to get goals constantly.
