Who Chelsea could face in Europa League knockout stage and when draw will be made

Chelsea are set for another two European matches at least, after making it through to the round of 32 stage of the competition this season.

Following the draw with Videoton in Hungary last Thursday, the Blues safely topped Group L, and will now face one of Viktoria Plzen, Club Brugge, Shakhtar Donetsk, Galatasaray, Zurich, Celtic, Slavia Prague, Fenerbahce, Olympiakos, Rapid Vienna, Lazio, Malmo, Krasnodar, Rennes, Sporting Lisbon/BATE Borisov.

Among the clubs mentioned above, a select few can really give Maurizio Sarri’s side a tough test although it is unlikely the Chelsea top hierarchy will allow any room for complacency as the game against Vidi proved. No opponent is a pushover these days in football.

The draw for the round of 32 will be held on December 17 in Nyon.

The knockout rounds will begin in February with the last 32 games played on the 14th of the same month. The second legs will be played the following week.
