Chelsea captain reveals what he will do with any January signings

Chelsea have been linked with moves for plenty of players in January, and that should be no surprise.

The Blues always look to strengthen in the winter window, even if it is usually just squad players, and this year will be no different.

There are a good numbers of former first team players who are being left out of the side who want to leave sooner rather than later, and all will have to be replaced by new players.

Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta, in quotes carried by the Daily Express, has explained exactly what he will do with anyone who arrives at the club, in order to show them what is expected of them at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea is my club, my home. I recognise I am one of the leaders,” the defender said.

“When new players arrive I take it upon myself to show them the Chelsea way.”

That’s great to hear, and there’s nobody you’d want more than Azpi showing someone how to behave. Since coming to the club, his attitude on and off the pitch has been impeccable, and he remains one of the most popular players at the club for a long time.
