A year ago Andreas Christensen was attracting covetous glances from the top clubs in Europe after breaking into the Chelsea first team.
Now, one year on, he’s lost his place in the first team, but still apparently has interest from Barcelona in his services.
Sport, the Catalan sports paper, have the Dane on their cover – which you can see above – claiming that an offer has already been made.
Christensen’s ability on the ball is clearly what’s turning heads, and he would make a great Barcelona defender if we’re honest. Samuel Umtiti has proved to be a great signing from the Blaugrana, but his injury problems mean that a consistent third option to join Gerard Pique is needed.
Most Blues fans are just hoping the Spanish giants turn elsewhere. Christensen isn’t in our team right now, but most fans see him as the future, and the fact that a team like Barcelona wants him tells you everything you need to know.
