Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is out of favour at Stamford Bridge, and a departure – perhaps even as soon as January.
The last couple of weeks have seen him linked with Arsenal, but now The Metro are throwing a new name into the mix.
Arsenal always look short of a solid centre-back like Cahill, but there’s another team in London looking much more desperate for a bit of experience and solidity at the back – Fulham
The Whites are struggling at the bottom of the table, and look set to splash a bit of cash in January to try and rectify things.
Cahill would be a superb starting point, and Claudio Ranieri has done well to identify him as an achievable target. We may be reluctant to let the club captain go halfway through the season, but if he pushes for it, there’s not much we can do to stop him, and everyone would wish him the best in trying to keep Fulham up.
