We’re just a couple of days away from January, and that can only mean one thing: hot, fresh rumours ready for Chelsea fans to enjoy.
We’ve all had our fill of Pulisic and Higuain right now, so how about a rumour from 6 months ago that may be about to come to fruition.
Back in July, Luis Fregossi was tweeting about Wilmer Barrios of Boca Juniors, a midfielder who he claimed would be playing for us from January.

Fregossi is a Argentine sports writer who covers Boca in detail, and while he doesn’t have a Blue tick, he does have 17,000 Twitter followers.
This doesn’t necessarily mean there will be any truth to the rumours, but it certainly gives us a little hope. If we were to lose Cesc Fabregas to AC Milan this month, which is also a distinct possibility, this seems a lot more likely.
