Two Chelsea men named in Sky Sports Premier League XI – but Jorginho and Rudiger snubbed

Two Chelsea men have been named in the team of the season so far, perhaps not surprising given our unbeaten start to the season.

Manchester City have Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Aymeric Laporte and David Silva, while Liverpool have only Mo Salah.

Spurs’ under the radar good run sees Kieran Tripper and Hugo Lloris sneak into the side, while Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson and Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi are surprise inclusions too.

That leaves two spots for Chelsea players, and they’re taken by Marcos Alonso, and Eden Hazard – who else.

The Spaniard has kept up his scintillating form, and could have scored one of the goals of the season at the weekend, while Eden Hazard started this season as perhaps the best player in Europe, before his recent back injury slowed him down.

Two players is good going for a team in transition – if we have more than that by the end of the season, we’ll know we have exceeded all expectations of us this campaign.
