Maurizio Sarri gives important update on Eden Hazard’s latest injury

Chelsea will be without star forward Eden Hazard for their Europa League clash with PAOK on Thursday with the Belgium international ruled out with an ankle injury.

Last month Hazard missed three games when he was ruled out of action with a back injury after the Blues 2-2 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League. But it looks as though the rest he had was not enough after a grueling summer of international football as his Belgium side traveled the distance in the 2018 World Cup.

Hazard will now sit out Chelsea’s fifth game in the Europa League this season. His head coach Maurizio Sarri has the luxury of trying out a few fringe players in his squad with the Premier League giants having already qualified to the knockout stage of the Europa League.

Sarri says Hazard and Victor Moses are certain misses for the Thursday night clash but the former may return to play next weekend.
