Frank Lampard eyes taking third impressive Chelsea youngster on loan in January

Life at Chelsea is beautiful at the moment. The results look positive in all competitions as they march on without a defeat after 17 official games, the players look really committed to the course this season and there are no signs of discontent among the club’s top officials with the coaching staff.

However, what this means is that the current form of the top players in the squad makes it rather difficult for youngsters to break into the first team and have a regular run. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has recently begun looking like a consistent fixture but others like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu are struggling to break into the star-studded squad.

Maurizio Sarri wanted the Welshman as part of his squad last summer, but after failing to make his senior debut under the Italian coach, a January loan move looks well likely to happen and according to the Sun, Derby County is pushing the button.

Frank Lampard hopes to add another talent from Chelsea to his squad that already has Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori.
