Chelsea are interested in Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that the Maurizio Sarri favourite is worth £53m.
His agent has been speaking on the radio in Italy, and there’s no doubt on his valuation of the player:
“Is he worth €50m? He’s worth €60m for me,” he’s quoted as saying in the same article.
Hysaj was a key part of Sarri’s Napoli team, a dynamic and hard running right back who covers the whole flank in much the same way that Marco Alonso does on the left.
The only question would be what happens to Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been one of the best defenders in the last ten years of the Premier League, and has been shunted back to the right side of defence by the return to a back four.
Not having him in the team seems almost inconceivable – but it looks increasingly like a possibility.
