It’s official. Chelsea will be the last team in Europe to lose this season – if we lose at all, that is.
Manchester United came back from 1-0 down to win against Juventus in a really astonishing Champions League game last night, and with that eliminated the Turin based team’s unblemished record for the season.
Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern, now Juventus. All the top teams across Europe have now faced defeat at least once – but not us.
That’s not to say we’re the best team in Europe – we’re not even in the Champions League let’s remember and we’ve ridden our luck at time, but it’s a stat that really sums up how unexpectedly well we’re doing in Maurizio Sarri’s debut season.
Nobody knows how long this run will go on, but if we can keep it up another month, there will be no questioning that we’re right up there with the top teams in Europe.
