Can Chelsea buy back 2 goal Belgium breakout man?

When people saw that Eden Hazard played 90 minutes last night, and the name “Hazard” twice on the scoresheet, they would have been forgiven for thinking the Chelsea man had a successful day out with his national team yesterday.

Instead, it was actually Thorgan Hazard who netted twice for the Red Devils, before Switzerland’s amazing comeback.

Thorgan was a Chelsea player until we sold him to Borussia Monchengladbach in 2015, but do we have any clause to bring him back should he continue this impressive development?

Back in February, SportsWitness had a feature on the attacking midfielder when he was being linked with Leicester, and they had a ton of quotes from Eden’s brother about his future, where he claimed that even he didn’t know whether such a clause existed.

His quotes, as carried on Football.London, are clear cut:

“To be honest, even I don’t know if there is one,” the winger said.

“If Chelsea want me, they’ll pay for my transfer and they’ll take me back. It’s just a detail.”

He’s got a point – it didn’t stop us with Nemanja Matic or David Luiz, why would it stop us with Thorgan?
