“Believe me, I am tired!” – Eden Hazard warns Chelsea fans they may not see his best form the entire season

Since Eden Hazard scored against Southampton in the Premier League, his rich spell laden with goals and assists has dried up and he has gone three games without adding to his seven goals in the top flight this season, but the Belgian explains he is ‘very tired’.

The captain of the Belgium national team had been in scintillating form this season, scoring or grabbing assists in almost every game.

An injury to his lower back contributed hugely in this but he has remained a threat in attacking spaces after his arrival on the pitch. He registered his fourth assist this season against Crystal Palace, shortly after he was brought on by Maurizio Sarri to help the Blues secure the victory over their London rivals.

Now having played 14 games this season in all competitions to add to the six games he starred in at the 2018 World Cup means the Chelsea star may have been stretched within the period and now feels the effects.

“Believe me, I am tired! But I think I’m in good condition to play.

Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So, that’s why I’m fresh now. And when you are happy on the pitch you can try some things. I’m just enjoying myself.”
