Why Bakayoko will not move to Fulham in January

Fulham need a lot of players right now, but Tiemoue Bakayoko isn’t one of them.

The midfielder has been linked with a move there by CalcioMercato, but it just doesn’t make any sense. In players like Tom Cairney and Jean-Michel Seri, as well as summer signing Andre-Frank  Zambo-Anguissa, Fulham already have a plethora of midfield options available.

The last thing they need is a player last seen in England failing horribly. They are looking for calm heads and experience to settle a talented team down, not a player who so far has looked very mentally shaky.

It’s a really far-fetched shout, and one that we can’t see even a sliver of truth in. Even the termination of the Frenchman’s loan seems unlikely at this stage.

Bakayoko is struggling in Milan by accounts, and that’s not how one gets a move to a club that is fighting relegation in the Premier League.
