Another Chelsea starlet could leave the club in January as frustrations rise at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea starlet Ethan Ampadu will pack his bags temporarily from Stamford Bridge as Maurizio Sarri has decided on his short-term future, according to reports today.

The Blues have not had much luck in their history in promoting youngsters from the academy and Ampadu, who joined the club in the summer of 2017 was expected to defy the odds. His breakthrough last season at the club saw him rack up a few minutes in cup games but the 17-year old has gone totally missing this campaign under Sarri who has stuck with a first and second string of players without Ampadu or fellow starlet Callum Hudson Odoi.

According to Goal, the defensive midfielder signed from Exeter feels the need for minutes in the first team and will seek to leave in January, and Sarri will let him go.

It is unclear where he will end up, but Derby County and Aston Villa have apparently expressed interest in him.
