Chelsea extended their unbeaten run with a draw against Everton yesterday, but despite that there were several concerning factors in the game.
We picked out three negatives from the game here:
– Morata returns to slump
After a week where Chelsea fans were trying to convince themselves that he might be finding some form, Alvaro Morata was absolutely dire, and had fans raging with his feeble efforts.
– Jorginho stuffed
Once again, we saw a team come with a plan to nullify Jorginho performing that excellently. Mateo Kovacic wasn’t able to do anything with the space this afforded him. The addition of Ross Barkley brought some extra bite, but it was too little too late.
– David Luiz’ tantrum
David Luiz stopped on the ball at one point to encourage the crowd to get involved, but he really should have been more worried about whether his awful passing in the first half was the cause of that lack of atmosphere.
