Tiemoue Bakayoko’s immediate future clarified by agent amid return to Chelsea rumors

Chelsea’s on-loan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will last his entire contract period at AC Milan despite reports in Italy suggesting the player will return to Chelsea in January.

The France international has not been the player he once was since his signing for Chelsea in the summer of 2017. Halted by injuries and loss of form, Bakayoko failed to feature in every game last season under Antonio Conte and was shown the temporary exit door at Stamford Bridge last summer by Maurizio Sarri.

However after a few games for the Rossoneri, the 24-year old is rumored to be in the bad books of the Milan technical team and had requested his immediate return to London. His agent Federico Pastorello hints otherwise though.

Pastorello, who brokered the deal to Milan last summer says his client will not leave Milan this summer but will complete his season-long loan deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s side.

“Bakayoko is happy at AC Milan and the club is happy with what he is doing. We knew he would take time to adapt, but everybody believes that he will help the team during the season. Any speculation about his return to Chelsea is simply untrue.”

Per Calciomercato, AC Milan have the option to sign Bakayoko permanently after his loan deal, but as far as the rumors go, it looks very uncertain if his deal will be extended.
