“Player-by-player, they are the best team in the league” – Maurizio Sarri attempts to pile pressure on Jose Mourinho with squad strength comments

Manchester United are a team with the best players in the Premier League according to Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Ahead of the big Premier League encounter between Chelsea and Man United, Sarri has attempted to pile pressure on Jose Mourinho, insisting his rival in the dugout at Man United has the best team in the league, player-for-player.

Mourinho has often criticized the quality in his team at Old Trafford with his targets last summer, mostly being first team players who would possibly snatch starting roles from those they battle with. Denied by United Chief Executive, Ed Woodward, Mourinho’s side have struggled to find wins and positive results have been hard to come by.

But all that could not be the fault of the players with Chelsea’s Italian manager saying the best team in England in right in Mourinho’s hands.

“I think they are a very strong team. Maybe player-by-player, they are the best team in the league,’ he said in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

At the moment City is more of a team, but player-by-player they are very, very strong. We are talking only about eight matches, they are doing well in the Champions League so they can improve in the Premier League, we are talking about two months.”
