Maurizio Sarri confirms he will make almost seven changes for Europa League clash with Videoton

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has confirmed he may be tempted to make about seven changes for the Blues home game against Vidi.

Sarri has often rotated his side this season, to make sure he has fresh players for the most part of the season, as Chelsea battle on four fronts. The Premier League seems to be getting on well for his side who currently sit third while beating Liverpool in the Carabao Cup ensured he stayed on an unbeaten run so far.

As Chelsea prepare to face Videoton in the Europa League on Thursday, there will be further changes and fans might see Rube Loftus Cheek in action after the England international missed the last two games with an injury.

Sarri has one eye on the Premier League encounter with Southampton next weekend and hints at making several changes to his side, so the top performers can get a well-deserved rest.

“I have to speak to Pedro. He is doing better, like Loftus. Every player is at a level, but I have to change maybe 5,6,7 players.

I don’t know, I want to see the training tomorrow morning and this afternoon. He was unlucky in the last three weeks with the national team. He had a problem in the last 5 or 6 days he has been better. He is able to play tomorrow.”
